Leeds Bradford Airport Winter Travel Tips

Weather matters more on this route

Winter conditions can affect roads across higher ground between East Lancashire and Leeds Bradford. Allow extra time when frost, snow, fog or heavy rain is forecast.

Keep the airline advice as the anchor

Use the airline's recommended check-in time and work backwards from it. The transfer time should include a weather and traffic buffer, not just the normal drive time.

Early flights

For very early departures, a pre-booked private transfer can be simpler than combining several public transport legs in winter conditions.
